As we’ve started coming to grips with the idea of a recession — but still hoping we have time to prepare — a sharp drop came along to remind us of the risk, and reality, of investing. Last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a single-day drop of 1,063 points, or 3.12%. It was the worst single day since 2020. Then on Monday, the Dow shed an additional 654 points, or about 2%.
